As customers, we often base our online purchases off of stock images, but sometimes these images aren't always helpful. While the player jerseys do not have name plates, the stock photos of customizable Red Wings jerseys on both the official NHL shop and Hockey Authentic both appear to have them. Specifically, it looks as though the phrase "ANY NAME" is spread across a slightly curved name plate. Ignore this stock image. Look instead at the third and fourth photographs provided by H.A. of the #71 Larkin jersey, or the photographs provided in reviews. H.A. stitches the names in an arch directly on to the jersey – just like what is seen on ice.
P.S. No, I didn't order a Seider jersey. My number in high school was 53, and it's a happy coincidence that such a prominent player wears it. I did consider getting his jersey, but it felt too weird having my number but someone else's name.
